The Man from U.N.C.L.E. – a complete style-over-substance snoozefest from Guy Ritchie. Seriously, if you’re gonna reference a vintage visual style, that’s fine … but you GOTTA modernise the dialogue, the humour, the pace and all that stuff that makes a great updated film. You cannot expect current audiences to enjoy old crappy sight gags and weak one-liners. Otherwise what the hell are you doing? You’re just being a selfish jerk of a filmmaker trapped in a bubble of auteuristic self-importance, where no-one in your World would dare call you out on your douchy film because you made Lock Stock and 2 Smoking barrels, like, a billion years ago. Rant over.
